Chances are if you've been on any social media platform in 2024 looking at something to do with C8 Corvette track parts, you've seen our quick release splitter. Oh you missed it? Well follow these links for a couple of videos of it in action:
We don't believe there's a quicker or release-ier splitter for any platform anywhere. Much like our Wing of Power, it took a whole lot more time designing, prototyping, and testing than we had bargained for, but in the end we came up with the ultimate splitter mounting and un-mounting solution.
It's so cool however, that we're not even going to show pictures of how it works. There are a lot of companies out there who would love to know how we did it, and we can't just give that away. When you buy it, we'll show you all the pictures and videos you may want of how it's mounted and operated. But like everything we do at AMT, every part is machined from billet aluminum. All the pieces bolt in to readily available stock mounting locations, with the exception of the front mount structure. You will need to install a couple of Rivnuts in the front crash beam, remove or modify a couple of plastic underbody trays, but other than that, it's a pretty plug n' play installation. Total install time should plan for about 6 hours if you're taking time, but it's a small amount of time spent to be able to take it off in 6 seconds! The quick release latches are good for 700lbs each, and through our wind tunnel testing we've concluded the maximum safe speed for this splitter attachment method is about 457mph. So keep it under 450mph to be safe and you'll have no problems.
This quick release hardware was designed around this tunneled splitter from LG Motorsports. Our kit will be a direct bolt-on affair for the LG Splitter, and we of course will provide any and all support necessary to help you mount our hardware to their splitter.
Just so we're crystal clear - this product is for the quick release system ONLY. You will need to purchase the splitter from LG to be used with our mounting kit.
