The factory C6 differential mounts do an excellent job of isolating noise and vibration. Unfortunately, the same soft rubber that makes them comfortable also allows the drivetrain to move around when the car is being driven hard.
AMT Vulcan Differential Mounts replace that large mass of compliant rubber with rigid 5-axis-machined 6061-T6 aluminum structures and a small, fully captured rubber isolator—dramatically reducing drivetrain movement without resorting to a completely solid mount.

Engine, transmission, torque tube, and differential make up a large amount of mass running straight through the center of the Corvette. When the car changes direction under serious cornering load, you don't particularly want that mass moving around independently of the chassis.
The same applies under hard acceleration. The more the drivetrain is allowed to wind up against soft mounts, the less controlled the entire assembly becomes.
Vulcan mounts substantially restrict that movement while retaining just enough isolation to keep the system from behaving like a completely solid aluminum mount.
Factory C6 differential mounts are simple chunks of rubber with studs in them. They're cheap to manufacture, very good at isolating NVH, and unlike the factory oil-filled motor mounts, they generally aren't prone to spectacular failure.
For a normal street car, they're perfectly adequate.
This product exists for cars seeing hard track use, drag-strip launches, aggressive street driving, or other situations where reducing drivetrain movement matters more than preserving every last bit of factory isolation.
The large rubber factory mounts isolate noise and vibration extremely well, but they also allow the differential and the rest of the drivetrain to move relative to the chassis.
That's a perfectly reasonable compromise for a road car. It becomes less appealing when you're changing direction at serious lateral G or launching the car hard.
The Vulcan mount uses a much more rigid aluminum structure to control the differential while retaining an integral rubber isolator to reduce unnecessary vibration and noise.
You're not eliminating compliance simply for the sake of making something painfully stiff. You're controlling where that compliance happens.
The Vulcan mount was designed around rigidity, controlled isolation, durability, installation, and weight—not simply replacing rubber with the stiffest thing we could bolt to the car.

Each mount body is machined from solid 6061-T6 aluminum on our 5-axis CNC. We chose a complete machined structure rather than combining billet pieces with bent sheet-metal sections, giving the assembly substantially greater overall rigidity.

The center rubber element damps vibration while remaining fully captured by the surrounding aluminum structure. It cannot simply squish outward and extrude from the assembly as load is applied.

Our sunk-in hex design keeps the mounting hardware tucked into the assembly where you can actually get to it during installation without creating unnecessary interference around the mount.

Grade 10 yellow-chromate-plated hardware and nylon locking nuts are included with the mounts. No scavenging through the bolt drawer halfway through the installation.

The two sections of the assembly interlock while allowing the center rubber element to float enough to absorb vibration and noise.
At the same time, that rubber is completely surrounded and mechanically captured by the mount. It isn't being asked to hold the drivetrain in place as a big unsupported chunk of elastomer.
That's the entire philosophy of the Vulcan design: use the aluminum to control drivetrain movement and use the rubber specifically to manage NVH.
Controlling the differential is only one end of the drivetrain. Pair these mounts with our Vulcan Motor Mounts to reduce movement at the engine as well, and the package receives an automatic 5% discount at checkout.

We manufacture the parts ourselves because drivetrain mounts are not a particularly good place to wonder who made your hardware, what material they used, or whether the part you received matches the drawing.
The Vulcan Differential Mounts are guaranteed for life. If any component fails, we'll replace the failed part free of charge. No questions asked.
