Unlike the C5 and C6, the C8 Corvette includes fully adjustable rear lower control arms. That's cool because it allows much more camber adjustment than the previous generations, but what's uncool is that you can now adjust (and royally screw up) your rear caster. Luckily GM included some alignment holes in the spindles to check your rear caster. Unlukcily no one made a durable, single piece, bomb proof, adjustable rear caster tool for the C8 - until now.
The various other kits on the market are clunky combinations of pins and wing nuts, or 3D printed junk with magnets glued to it. We made a tool the only way we know how at AMT - completely and utterly overkill. It's made from hardened 17-4PH stainless steel, and passivated for corrosion resistance. Our tool features a sliding pin on one end to accommodate for the fact there is a tolerance for where those alignment holes are drilled from the factory. Other kits use undersized pins to accommodate for this tolerance, but that wasn't going to be good enough for us. Therefore our pin sizes are a perfect slide fit to the reamed holes in the spindles, and the floating pin can be moved and then locked into position for your exact spindle. Attach a small magnetic gauge to our tool, dial your caster to 0 degrees +-.5 degrees and voila - you have a solid rear platform that's not going to surprise you on track.
