The most powerful C8 splitter we could physically fit. Period.

AMT Motorsport partnered with Zebulon Motorsport Consulting to develop a splitter for the people who think “good enough” is a filthy phrase. This is not a mildly enlarged street splitter or a cosmetic sheet of carbon hanging underneath the bumper. It is a massive, profiled splitter designed to produce serious front downforce on a dedicated C8 race car.

Developed over several months using GM CAD data and 3D scans of our own Corvette, the shape, width, overhang, undertray, and enormous custom tunnels were designed to use every bit of available space underneath the front of the C8.

Over double the downforce. Verified in the wind tunnel.

In our A2 Wind Tunnel testing, the Zebulon produced more than twice the downforce of the already potent and very effective LG Motorsport tunneled splitter. Combined with our 78 × 14 F5 Wing, the complete package achieved nearly a 2:1 lift-to-drag ratio—an exceptionally effective and efficient aero package for a full-bodied production-based race car.

The AMT Difference

A real underwing, not a bumper shelf.

Every important surface exists for an aerodynamic or structural reason. The size is ridiculous because the available performance was worth using every damn inch.

The Biggest Tunnels That Fit

The custom diffuser tunnels were packaged around the actual C8 chassis and use essentially all of the space available beneath the front of the car. Their bespoke profiles accelerate and expand the airflow beneath the splitter to generate a substantial pressure differential and the front load that comes with it.

Designed around the C8—not a generic tunnel bolted to a flat board.

Wind-Tunnel Verified

This was not designed by staring at the car and deciding what looked aggressive. We tested it at the A2 Wind Tunnel, measured the actual load, compared it directly against the LG splitter, and evaluated the complete front-and-rear aero balance.

More than double the measured downforce of the LG splitter in our testing.

Lightweight and Stupidly Strong

The splitter begins with a lightweight foam core CNC cut to a bespoke underwing profile. Zebulon’s proprietary carbon-fiber layup uses tailored fabric layers, internal reinforcement, and structural phenolic mounting hard points to put strength exactly where it is needed.

Approximately 18 pounds fully outfitted, with capacity for more than 1,500 pounds through four mounting points.

All the Zebulon Bells and Whistles

Phenolic structural mounting points, proper end plates, enormous custom tunnels, and titanium skid blocks are all included. The result is a complete motorsport-grade splitter built to generate serious load, survive contact with the track, and transfer that load through a properly engineered mounting system.

The details are functional because the entire part is functional.

Six seconds from race car to trailer-ready.

A splitter this large is not something you want permanently hanging underneath the car while loading a trailer, servicing the front end, or trying to reach anything underneath it. That is exactly why we created the AMT Quick-Release Splitter System.

After the initial installation, the entire splitter can be released in approximately six seconds. The system uses billet aluminum structures, readily available chassis mounting locations, cable-operated quick-release latches rated for 700 pounds each, and adjustable supports to hold the splitter securely without exposed strut rods.

We evaluated the system with this splitter in the wind tunnel and calculated a maximum safe attachment speed of approximately 275 mph. We recommend keeping it below 250, just to leave a little breathing room.

The quick-release mounting system is not included with the splitter and must be purchased separately.

Developed as a Complete Aero Package

Front load only works when the rest of the car can balance it.

The Zebulon Splitter creates enough front downforce that it absolutely must be paired with a high-lift rear wing. At minimum, the car needs something in the neighborhood of a 78 × 12 Faircloth FC12 or 330 mm Zebulon wing, with the angle and aero balance tuned for the rest of the car.

Our own package combines this splitter with the 78 × 14 F5 Wing and Zebulon Diffuser. That system lets us build meaningful load at both ends of the car without simply adding an absurd amount of wing angle and drag.

This is not a street splitter.

The Zebulon is purpose-built for a dedicated, trailered, properly prepared race car. It is enormous, extremely low, and capable of creating loads that the stock suspension and an unbalanced aero package cannot safely manage.

  • The AMT Quick-Release Splitter mounting system is not included. It must be purchased separately or you must fabricate your own proper mounting solution.
  • An air dam is not included. Our Z51 uses a Verus lip attached to the splitter with VHB tape, or you can fabricate your own custom air dam.
  • The splitter fits the C8 Z06, but there is currently no off-the-shelf Z06 air dam available. Z06 installations require a custom air dam.
  • A high-lift rear wing is mandatory. Do not install this splitter without safely balancing the rear of the car.
  • Factory suspension is not remotely appropriate. Proper coilovers and very high spring rates are required to control the aero load and keep the splitter off the ground.
  • Minor trimming of the lower fenders and underbody plastics is required to accommodate the large diffuser tunnels.
  • The splitter must ship in a crate by freight. Freight is invoiced separately before shipment and is currently expected to cost approximately $250–$350.
  • Expect an approximate 12-week lead time. This is a large, US-made carbon-fiber splitter—not an item pulled from a warehouse shelf.

Talk to us before you order.

This splitter demands a proper rear wing, serious suspension, adequate spring rate, thoughtful ride-height control, and a mounting system capable of transferring substantial aerodynamic load into the chassis. Contact AMT with your chassis, suspension, wing, ride height, and intended use so we can help make sure the entire package makes sense.
